Death
Ecclesiastes 8:8 No one has power over the spirit to retain the spirit, And no one has power in the day of death. Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.
1 Chron. 29:15 - compares our lives to a shadow that only last for a short while. Job 7:6-7 compares our lives to a weaver’s shuttle, which quickly runs out, and to the wind, which is there for a short while and then it disappears. Job 14:1 "Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble. 2 He comes forth like a flower and fades away; Ps. 90:9 compares our life to sigh James 4:14 says our life is, but a vapor that is here today and gone tomorrow.
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,
Hebrews 2:14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

So how do we become a Christian, and make it into Christ?
We must hear! Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, James 1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
We must believe! John 8:24 "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.“ James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe -- and tremble! James 2:17 …faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2:24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
We must repent! Luke 13:3 "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.
We must confess Jesus as Lord! Romans 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Matthew 10:32 " Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 "But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. John 12:42 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
We must be baptized! 1 Peter 3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us – baptism … Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins Acts 22:16 'And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.'
