The Pitfalls of Cultural Christianity Grace Community Church MATTHEW 6:1-4

Every believer can position themselves to experience real devotion by being aware of the pitfalls poised by Cultural Christianity.

Matthew 6:1 “Be careful …”

The Basic Imagery of True Christianity If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. The Cry of true Christianity has always been one of death to self~ NEVER self preservation So how are we to be careful? In the way we live out our faith.

First pitfall for us to beware of is anything that takes away our heart to live by faith

A second pitfall to beware of is of anything that takes away our desire to give to God alone

Third pitfall: Beware of anything that takes away our ability to receive God’s blessing

PITFALLS TO BEWARE OF: Anything that takes away your ~Heart to live by faith ~Desire to give to God alone ~Ability to receive God’s blessing!
