Imagination, Breaking with Convention 10 and Under Tennis allows kids to rally and play tennis shortly after picking up a racquet for the first time. And for the first time, kids can fall in love with tennis right away – a love that can last a lifetime! The Right Sized Gear for All Ages 10 It’s not just the rules or techniques…there’s more

Does the Future of Tennis Hinge on Diversity & Inclusion? Discuss: The Preeminent Organization for Diversity Thought Leaders ©2013 Diversity Best Practices 11

The Preeminent Organization for Diversity Thought Leaders ©2013 Diversity Best Practices USTA’s Mission The MISSION of the USTA is simple and clear: “To promote and develop the growth of tennis” 12 Managing diversity and inclusion effectively is critical to achieving the mission of the organization and is an integral part of the success of the USTA’s other top-level strategic priorities.

Tough Issues / Hard Questions 13 Many tennis organizations’ professional staff and volunteers do not reflect the changing demographic. 40% of kids under 10 are African American, Latino, Asian, Native American. To execute 10-and-under imperative, it must be at its core about diversity. Not a market segment; it is the market.

Our responsibility as the National Governing Body for the sport obligates us to identify and lead in removing barriers to allow us to be inclusive so that tennis reflects all of America. Diversity and Inclusion: The Preeminent Organization for Diversity Thought Leaders ©2013 Diversity Best Practices 14 Winning the Game Strategy for USTA Diversity allows us to touch "All of America" and Inclusion allows "All of America" to touch us.

How do we grow the game? 16
