Since the last C-RRB meeting no further signatures – Some expressions of interest expressed: administrative & funding follow-up on-going In several cases MoU documents were signed some time ago – 12 WLCG MoU’s signed in January, February or March 2006 – Certain countries are reviewing the organisation of their Federation or adding new sites – A new French Tier-2 site CPPM in Marseille joined recently – Such changes are reflected in MoU Annex 1 (Tier 0-1’s) or Annex 2 (Tier 2’s) – Any changes to be signalled to WLCG MoU Status 12 th October 2010

At last C-RRB meeting 30/09/10 deadline for pledge input announced Reminder send 04/05/10 including experiment requirements for 2011 agreed by Scrutiny Group & preliminary 2012 requirements Deadline largely respected – all input received except 1 Tier 1 & 2 Tier 2’s – received on 01/10/10 & 02/10/10 respectively Resource tables in CERN-RRB annex 1 are as final as possible – confirmed 2011 pledges apart from certain indicated countries – estimates for 2012 Approval of pledge tables foreseen in MoU at Autumn session of C-RRB Modifications or declaration of resources not deployed foreseen at Spring session of C-RRB Pledges also entered in gstat – future tool for pledge data. Tier-1 details in Pages 1-2 of annex Tier-1 Summary shows overall shortfall, particularly for ALICE and CMS NL: unconfirmed pledge due to on-going negotiations with Funding Agency. Tier-2 details in Pages 3-8 of annex Tier-2 Summary shows overall shortfall, particularly for ALICE and ATLAS disk Australia: pledges constrained by Data Centre, new centre available by mid 2011 Belgium: FNRS pledges subject to approval of funding request Canada: pledges unconfirmed due to timing of Call for Proposals. Assumption is proposal accepted, deployment by April 2011 Russia: possibility that resources will increase for 2012 Sweden: decision on Tier-2 pledges to be taken on 4 th November 2010 Ukraine: CPU to be provided in HS06. In most cases pledges increase or stay constant, but in certain cases pledge decreases are observed between 2010 and 2011 – to be understood Tier-2’s with pledge decrease 12 th October 2010

Summary WLCG MoU: to be maintained up to date with additions or changes to existing information particularly MoU annex 1 & 2 WLCG Funding & Expenditure: strategy planning to be finalised for materials budget & cost estimates updated accordingly Tier-1 and Tier-2 accounting: to be checked frequently – Tier-2 sites not reporting must resolve their problems – Sites within Federations not reporting – to be followed up Resource Pledges: confirmed Tier-1 & Tier-2 pledges for 2011 shows shortfall particularly – ALICE Tier-1 & Tier-2 CPU, Disk & Tape – ATLAS Tier-2 disk – CMS Tier-1 CPU, Disk & Tape Some pledge data still waiting confirmation from Funding Agencies Decreased pledges at Tier-2’s to be understood Any change to pledges or failure to deploy resources by April 2011 to be signalled at Spring 2011 C-RRB meeting 15
