Part 1 Review chapters 1-39 God would use Assyria to take Israel (Ephraim) into captivity and to chasten Judah After Assyria and Babylon’s judgment, a remnant of Israel would return to the land They would no longer practice idolatry The Messiah would rule in His kingdom with righteousness Gentiles would be included in this kingdom All the faithful will be blessed thru the Messiah

Isaiah Part 2 A look at Israel after captivity 40:1-66:24 40:1-2 introduces this section Much of it points to Christ Spiritual fulfillment and application is its aim 1.God must be the object of our trust 40:1-48:22 2.The Servant of the Lord will rule 49:1-57:21 3.The spiritual benefits of His rule 58:1-66:24
