整个模块课时安排 (Arrangement of teaching in this module) 教学目标 (Teaching aims) 第一课时 (Period 1)

 Three periods for this module, one period for one unit.  The purpose is to improve students’ ability on listening, speaking, reading, writing and thinking.  Students’ learning on discussion and cooperation are used more than teaching and explaining in my class.  We have different teaching methods for each module. Language knowledge Function: Introduction Grammar: Present simple be (affirmative, negative, general question) Personal and Possessive Pronoun — I / My, He / His, She / Her Vocabulary: first, lesson, class, student, Miss,blackboard, open, close, match, write, read,listen,practice, eleven, twelve, thirteen, twenty-nine, fifty Pronunciation: /i:/ /i/ /e/ / æ /

Language skills Listening: Students can understand others’ introduction by listening. Speaking: Students can introduce themselves and ask others’ information about name, job, age and place. Reading: Students can understand the similar essay of different people’s introduction. Writing: Students can write their personal information and create a new one.

Learning strategies: Self study and Cooperate study Character building: Motivate students’ interest in learning English. Make friends with all students. 第一课时 (Period 1) 教学内容分析 Step by step 教学设计

This is the first English lesson. Students should know how to introduce themselves. Teachers should start with the name, job, age, and hometown as a model. Then students practice using Activity 5: “ Work in pairs, ask and answer.” Or using: “ Learning to learn”. The purpose we use the interactive approach is to give a brief self- introduction concerning with these aspects. 教学内容分析

After speaking, we do listening for Activity 3, 4 & 1. We can use Activity 4 to check students’ understanding for dialogue 3. And we can also use the form to check them. NameAgeJobCityCountry Miss Li Lingling Daming Wang Hui

At last, we teach students how to write with the words in Activity 2. For example: Hello, class ! I’m your English teacher. I’m Chinese. You can call me Miss Ni. You are my students. I hope we’re friends in the school.

Step 1: Introduction. Using these ways. My Chinese name is Ni Shichun. My English name is Charlotte. I’m an English teacher. You can call me Miss /Ms Ni. I’m 39 years old. I’m from Beijing, China. I’m Chinese. I teach in Beijing No.80 Junior High School Guan Zhuang Branch. You’re my students. We’re good friends.

Remember these language points: 1) My Chinese / English name is… 2) I’m a student. 3) I’m …years old. 4) I’m from… 5) I study in Beijing No. 80 Junior High School Guan Zhuang Branch. 6) We’re your students. 7) We’re good friends, too. Step 2: Ask students to introduce themselves with this pattern.

Step 3: Listen to the conversation of Activity 3. Ask students to listen without opening their books. Then answer my questions. She’s from Beijing, China. Q1 : What’s the teacher’s family name? Her family name is Miss Li. Q2: Where’s she from? She’s from Wuhan, China. Q3: Is she Chinese or English? She’s Chinese. Q4: What’s the first girl’s name? Her name is Lingling. Q5: Where’s she from?

Q6: What’s the boy’s name? His name is Daming. Q7: Is he from Beijing, too? Yes, he is. Q8: How old are Lingling and Daming? They’re both twelve years old. Q9: What’s the second girl’s name? She’s Wang Hui. Q10: Where’s she from? She’s from Shanghai, China. Q11: Is she twelve? No, she isn’t. She’s thirteen.

After speaking, we do listening for Activity 3 & 4. We can use Activity 4 to check students’ understanding for dialogue 3. And we can also use the form to check them. Step 4: Ask students to retell the conversation and create a new one with their own real life. Step 5: Do listening of Activity 1 and Activity 6.

Step 6: Do writing with the words of Activity 2. I can show them a model before writing. After writing, I’ll read the good ones to the students in order to encourage them to write more. After that, ask students to evaluate whose writing is the best, etc. Hello, class! I’m your English teacher. I’m Chinese. You can call me Miss Ni. You are my students. I hope we’re friends in the school. All the teachers are kind. They are as good as your father and mother.

Step 7: Learn, watch and do the actions about the words of Activity 8. listen practice stand up sit down
