© Copyright, Kent Consultancy Group, 2012, All rights reserved 4 4 Overall Introduction Succeeding in school does not coming naturally. To be a successful student, one needs to adapt an appropriate attitude, work hard, and also work smart. Succeeding in school is normally associated with a few important components like: Set goals: Setting goals can help you be more target- oriented. A goal could be very simple, for example learning five words per day… Participate in class: Try not to miss any classes in the whole semester. In addition, participating in class also means to actively get involved in class discussion, rather than just sitting there as an observer. Take notes: Take some notes in each class. It will help you do revision before exams. Study at home: Finish your homework in time, and do some preview and review. Pass a test: Taking test is a good way to check your progress. Ask for help: Feel free to talk to your teachers or tutors when you cannot figure out problems by your own. Make progress: Try to record each of your test scores and keep making progress for the next one. Practice frequently: Practice makes perfect! Overall Introduction
