English Pronunciation By Josh Song

Did you have a good time at the concert? Not really. The concert was too crowded, and some of the audience members were too noisy. Oh, that’s too bad.

I can’t believe you haven’t even started on the paper for Professor Glendon’s class There’s no rush. It isn’t due for several weeks.

There’s so much information to review. I don’t know how I’m ever going to master it. Let’s form a study group.

I wonder why Barbara has been so withdrawn lately. Didn’t you here? The company she worked for was downsizing and she got laid off.

Hold it. There’s a thread dangling from the back of your skirt. There is? Yeah. The seam is unraveling. You need to hem it up.

I’ve packed everything for our camping trip, but do you think we should play it safe and bring chains? Why? The roads aren’t icy this late in the spring.

Do you know what material is going to be on the final? I’d like to start preparing for it, but I don’t know what to study. According the syllabus, it’ll be a cumulative exam.

Have you done your geometry problems yet? We have class at three o’clock. No, I Haven’t, and I’m too tired now. I think I’ll take a nap and then work on the math before class.

That’s strange. Why is the clock flashing twelve o’clock? We probably had a power outage. The clock automatically resets to twelve when the electricity comes back on.

I just got back from the bookstore, and look at this pile of textbooks. Have you gotten the texts for your classes yet? None of the books I need had come in What did the bookstore do about that? I was given a rain check and was told too check back in a few days

I really want to go to the game on Saturday. The home game for the football team? Why can’t you go? 1/3

I’m working right up to the start time. By the time I get to the field and find a parking place, the game will already be into the first quarter and I won’t be able to find a seat. Can’t you get off any earlier? Or go in an hour earlier? Or put in some hours later in the week? 2/3

No I don’t dare ask my boss. I guess I just have to miss the first quarter. I tell you what. I’ll save us both good seats, and you try to get there as soon as you can. 3/3
