Strategic Planning for the Department of Oncology  Highly selective, set priorities and does not constitute a comprehensive review of organization’s activities (Eadie, 1993; Shea, 1997)  Strategic planning should be constructive, consensus building activity that focuses on the health of the organization  It provides direction and meaning of day to day activities

Why Do It? It can help improve performance It definitely can stimulate future oriented thinking
