AGENDA Tues 5/1 & Wed 5/2 Taking it to the FedsTaking it to the Feds Game PlayGame Play HW: Budget Hero ReflectionHW: Budget Hero Reflection –Stock Project DUE Mon 5/7 & Tues 5/8

Budget Hero Now we’re going to “take it to the Feds” using an interactive game called “Budget Hero.”Budget Hero During the game, be sure to take notes so that you will be able to complete your reflection for homework.

Budget Hero Reflection 1.What three badges did you choose? Why? 2.List all of the cuts you made with a justification for each. 3.List all increases in spending you made with a justification for each. 4.What was the most challenging part of the game? 5.What did you find most interesting about the game? 6.Overall, how did your budget plan stack up (according to the game)? 7.Overall, what did you learn about the federal budget that you did not know before playing the game? 8.What connections can you make from this game to the real “budget crisis.” 9.After playing this game, what questions do you have about the federal budget? (Must come up with at least two!) 10.Review your budget cuts from the 2004 California state budget crisis and those you made for this game. Based on your cuts, where would you place yourself on the political spectrum and why? (This may require a bit of research on your part!) ______ /50 Points
