Adjectives of Quantity 1. a lot of , plenty of , many , much 2. few , a few 3. little , a little 4. some They show the quantity of a certain thing.

1. a lot of , plenty of , many , much —mean a large quantity 2. a few , a little —mean a small quantity

1. many , a few —go before countable nouns 2. a little —goes before uncountable nouns

3. much —goes before uncountable nouns —mainly in negative sentences and questions, or after ‘as , how , so , too’

4. a lot of , plenty of , some —go before both countable and uncountable nouns
