Payson Green Valley Outing March 14, 2015

Payson Flycasters The Payson Fly Casters Club is Sponsoring PHX- PHWFF Outing at Green Valley Lake in Payson Providing Volunteers to assist the Veterans Lunch This is our 3 rd trip I believe, and all have been very fruitful Be sure to show your appreciation while we are there.

Meeting at McDonalds Arrive between 6:30 – 7:00 am Any Question contact Tom Herman or Jon Wallace. If you are driving and have room let us know. If you need a ride let us know. Depart McDonalds at 7:00 am and travel to Fort McDowell Casino to drop cars and meet to start trip.

Phoenix to Payson Take AZ 87 North 61 miles to Payson Main Street Continue on Main for about 2 miles. You will see the ponds and probably the Payson Flycasters.

What to Bring Fishing License Name Tags Whistles Medical Supplies Hat Sunblock Starting Mileage Rods & Reels If you have these Chairs Flies, tippet, net, forceps, clippers or other fishing accessories you like

Schedule 6:30 am – Meet at McDonalds 7:00 am – Depart to drop vehicle at Fort McDowell Casino 8:00 am – Meet at Payson Green Valley Lake 8:00 am – Safety briefing & rig equipment 8:30 am – 12:00 pm – CATCH FISH!! 12:00 pm – Lunch provided by Payson Flycasting Club 2:00 pm – Closing bell, drive back to Phoenix NOTE: The event is officially over at 2:00 pm. The main group will be heading back to Phoenix. If you want to say on or go on your own have a good time. The outing is officially over. Tell us of your adventure at our next meeting.

Safety Head to Toe Hat – Keep the sun off your head. Sun Screen – The sun is very intense in AZ. Sun Glasses – Protect your eyes. Drink lots of water. Don’t wait to get thirsty. Food/Medical – If you have medical situations that require you to keep track of blood sugar let your volunteer know. If you get hooked, don’t panic get someone to help.
