Purpose To measure knowledge and attitudes about HIV and AIDS among women

Indicators Comprehensive correct knowledge on prevention methods and misperceptions about HIV Attitudes towards people living with HIV Knowledge of counseling and testing services Use of counseling and testing services Knowledge of mother to child transmission Services offered on mother to child transmission at ante-natal clinics

Methodological issues Interviews must be conducted in private Check translation in previous MICS questionnaires to ensure consistency Questions on services at ante-natal care are asked in maternal and newborn health module HA14 requires a check in maternal and newborn health module to avoid repeating question
