GSA's acquisition solutions offer private sector professional services, equipment, supplies, telecommunications, and information technology to government organizations and the military. GSA policies promote management best practices and efficient government operations.  GSA Schedules program achieves more than $40 billion dollars in sales every year for businesses partnering with us. Businesses who participate in this program have the potential to be very successful, however, success is not guaranteed.  This training is developed to help companies determine if this program is a good fit for their future goals and how to take the next steps to participate.

4 Glossary of Terms GSA – General Services Administration MAS – Multiple Award Schedule GSA MAS Program – General Services Administration Multiple Award Schedule Program GSA Schedule – abbreviated form of the program name. Schedules Program – abbreviated form of the program name. GSA Schedule Number – The breakdown of program categories such as “Schedule 70 – Information Technology”, “Schedule 72 II – Furnishings”, etc.

12 MAS EXPRESS Online Training “Pathway to Success”  A prerequisite for participation in the MAS Express Program is the successful completion of the "Pathway to Success" education seminar.  Vendors may attend either a live presentation or complete the web based presentation posted on the Vendor Support Center (VSC) under the "Vendor Training" tab. (  -What are GSA's expectations for a vendor to become a successful Schedule contractor;  -How to compete and succeed as a GSA Schedule contractor in the government marketplace;  -How to develop a GSA Schedule-specific business plan; and  -How to submit a quality offer, the proposal submission process, and the GSA Schedule solicitation.

16 What is a Size Standard?  SBA has established numerical definitions, or "size standards," for all for-profit industries.  Size standards represent the largest size that a business (including its subsidiaries and affiliates) may be to remain classified as a small business concern.  These size standards apply to SBA’s financial assistance and to its other programs, as well as to Federal government procurement programs when there is a benefit available to qualifying as a small business concern.  Also, the Small Business Act states that unless specifically authorized by statute, no Federal department or agency may prescribe a size standard for categorizing a business concern as a small business concern, unless such proposed size standard meets certain criteria and is approved by the Administrator of SBA.
