Great work at Inham Nook

Last year we prayed

An answer to prayer

A thank you to John

A great staff team and PCC 10,000 hours of volunteer time By over 200 volunteers This church flourishes because of you. Thank you so much

Working in partnership to make greater impact

Developing our buildings and our ministries  We have undertaken a further programme of work. Thanks Charles  This year the PCC have voted to realise one of our major assets. We want to use the money wisely in tune with our vision and values. We ask your prayers.

Some joys of the past year: -  Work in and with schools

Some joys of the past year: -  Christmas

Some joys of the past year: -  Growth at our 7.00 Service Worship/Word Testimony/Ministry Engagement Numbers Inc. Numbers of young people

Some joys of the past year: - The Challenge to become MISSIONAL To change our thinking: - From COME to GO From growing the congregation to making disciples From being church centred to being Christ centred

The Missional Process  Challenge to Fresh expression from our Archbishops  Conversation with Bishop Paul last August  Alan Hirsch via New Wine last May  Dialogue with Bob and Mary Hopkins in Aug/Nov  Links with other parishes exploring  St. Thomas Crookes St. Andrews Chorleywood St. Mark’s Haddock Holy Trinity Leicester St. George's Deal. Marple Parish Team. St Nic’s Nottingham, St. Saviour’s Meadows, St. Thomas Kirkby

The Missional Process  Vision Values Vocabulary Vehicle  A steady process that might take 5 years  THIS IS JUST YEAR 1  Teach and preach, study and process  Imagine and launch pilot projects  Support one another in our natural arenas of mission

The Missional Process What difference does it make for us?  Scenario 1 everyone seeking to be more outwardly focussed  Scenario 2 many will wish to enter a missional prayer support partnership

The Missional process  Scenario 3 full membership of a pilot project The missional activity is their main focus They may make it’s planning group their small group They may lay down other things to make time They remain part of the gathering They remain accountable to the leader

The Missional Process  Identify areas for missional projects and bring them for affirmation and support  Form prayer partnerships around mission. i.e. schools/education prayer group. Think about whether you want to make that a more articulate project and form a missional community around it.

The Missional Process: Three examples in September/October 2013 Gathering WOW ANOTHER HOPE

The Missional Process: How it might work for WOW Men’s Fellowship Bethany Personal invitation Developing vision WOW Team WOW Event Sunday Wide publicity Vicar + Team Accountability link to the gathering

The Missional Process: More possible examples in the future Gathering WOW Creative Art Street Party Parenting CAP ministry Singles Group ANOTHER HOPE

The Missional Process  Missional communities and projects are not just extra ministries. The members do church as community and may/will need to release themselves from other things  They are designed to release and not burden. They are ‘lay leader’ imagined and driven but accountable to the gathering and its leadership  We are learning and will learn together how they will work in our setting

Resourcing the vision  Mucking in  Signing up  Speaking up (for Him)  Using opportunities
