Scientific Presentations: Oral Papers (Deadline 31/1/2011), Posters (Deadline 31/3/2011) Oral presentations will be for a total of 25 minutes, including 20 minutes to present your paper, and 5 minutes for discussion. Prospective presenters of scientific papers are asked to submit an abstract of no more than 300 words to the conference committee through the conference website ( All abstracts will undergo a peer reviewing process before being accepted. Posters describing research findings or innovative practice related to the topics of the conference are also welcome. The poster sessions will provide researchers and practitioners, including students, an excellent forum to present their work in an informal and interactive setting. 2. Professional Workshops (Deadline 31/1/11) Professional workshops will normally be expected to run for either a whole morning (9am - 1pm) or an afternoon session (2pm - 6pm), or for the whole day (9am – 6pm) or for over 2 half days. A workshop can be presented over multiple days with prior agreement with the conference committee. Workshops will typically be held in rooms capable of housing up to 60 persons. Projection equipment will be provided, but any special equipment will need to be provided by the workshop organizers. Workshops may provide attendees with hands-on experience. 3. Practitioner and Scientific Symposia (Deadline 30/11/2010) In order to facilitate open discussion of issues that relate to both practitioners and scientists, SAN is keen to promote practitioner/scientific symposia and roundtables. 4. Student Research The SAN conference committee is particularly pleased to invite abstracts for research presentations from both undergraduate and postgraduate students. One of the goals of SAN is to endorse and support excellence in the field. With this aim in mind SAN is offering students a discount of some 75% to support and promote student research in any of the relevant topic areas. Please note that this submission must be accompanied by a letter from your supervisor stating that they support your submission and have reviewed your work. registration website:
