International Day of Service RAISING AWARENESS THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA

Staffing:  National Media Coordinator (Assistant DPA) One in each country  Official Spokesmen One for national media and one in each stake/district  Social Media Specialists One Community Manager (national) and one Specialist in each service unit (local) Note: contact information for each one should be submitted to the area public affairs office (full name, contact numbers and ).

Basic Tools:  Promotional Poster (official)  Motivational poster (for social media)  Video (YouTube)  Memes (campaign)  Social media accounts (Facebook/Twitter)  Press release (national media, spokesman)

Main Initiatives:  Placement of posters (Church and community)  Announcements (Church and community)  Publication of articles (Newsroom sites)  Media tour: print, radio, TV (announce, press release, interview)  Distribution of press release (print, radio, TV, digital)  Social media campaign (members, community, VIPs, media)  Summon the media (“on-site” interviews and coverage)
