Election of 1788  1 st Presidential Election under the Constitution  Washington wins in a land slide!!!!  All 69 electors voted for Washington  John Adams becomes Vice President

The Precedent President  Precedent- any act that serves as a guide for others  Washington established: -Presidential Cabinet -Inaugural Address -Foreign Policy of Neutrality -Two Terms in Office (Not until 22 nd Amendment was it law that Presidents could only serve two terms. FDR was elected to 4 terms)
