Biogeography Study of past and present geographical distribution of species – Continental Drift – Geographic Isolation

Geographic Isolation members of the same species can no longer mate due to geography, and the result is two isolated gene pools that evolve over time to become two separate species.

Continental Drift implies that as the super continent Pangea split to form separate continents, members of the same species were separated by water and over time became separate species.
