AUTOMATIC IRRIGATION

INTRODUCTION Now a days always engaged people cannot get time sufficiently. This project is mint for conservation water as well as soil in the absence of human being.

MATERIAL REQUIRED 1- C Mfd electrical capacitor which filtered 12 volt D.C. 2- D 1 - In 4007 diode which changed 12 volt A.C. to 12 volt D.C. 3- T 1 –B.C. 558 transistor. It is a P.N.P type transistor. It helps to function Relay.

4- T 2 – B.C. 548 Transistor- It measures the conductivity between two probes and triggers the output B.C. 558 with its associate circuit made with Resistance- R 1 =3.3k 1/2wt R 2 = 1.5k 1/4w R 3 =10k 1/4w R 4 =40k 1/4 w and capacitor C 2 =10mfd. 5- Relay- It is a electromagnetic Relay. It functioned in 12volt D.C. It supplied current to the motor in proper time and the motor functioned. 6- Step down Transformer- It transfer 230volt A.C. to 12 volt A.C.

FUNCTION This electronic circuit supplied water to our garden in our absence. The probes deep within 2 to 3 inch inside soil of the garden. 12volt direct current is connect with one probe. The resistance between two probes become higher at the dry period. But it decreases when the soil become wet. This electronic signals is detected and trigs by B.C. 558 transistor with its base biasing circuit of B.C. 148 transistor. So the electromagnetic relay become in ON position. When the soil dry the relay become OFF and the motor functioned. When the soil become wet the motor stopped automatically.

Probe-2 Probe-1

ADVANTAGES It works in the absence of people. It saves wastage of water. It saves and conserves soil. It saves fertility of soil.
