 It was founded in 1913 by International Motorcycling Federation, based in Geneva, Switzerland and has been going ever since  As many as 50 countries and 550 athletes participate in this event  It’s between 683 miles and 838 miles long  It’s the Olympics for motorcycle racing.  Previously called International Six Day Trials changed in 1980

 Six days of varied sections  Has trails, trials, little road with noise test  Rider must fix own bike with limited tools and time. 16g.jpg

 Sponsors make thousands of dollars by sponsoring certain countries' teams/individual people  For example if Kawasaki sponsored the US and the US won the ISDE, everyone would want to buy Kawasaki motorcycles thebikerzone.com

 While there is no exact number it is evident that thousands go to the event each year.  Money maker for the home country because of the surge of people that go there  People go there for vacation(Hotels,tours,etc)

 Great tourist attraction and good way to make money  Provides entertainment and can create a sense of nationalism gnccracing.com
