ICAI USA 2009 – Visa Process

VISA Information From the applicant: To be carried at the time of Interview along with the appointment letter & bar code slip. Valid passport with at least 2-unused pages (valid for minimum 6 months from the date of travel) along with 1 set of passport photocopy (first 02 & last 02 pages) visa fee receipt issued by HDFC Bank and interview appointment letter. Two recent passport size photographs as per specification. (Specification given below) Business Card of Applicant / CONTACT Nos - Mobile & Residence Landline. Individual covering letter in original from the applicant, stating the name, purpose and duration of visit. In case the family is accompanying, the names should be mentioned in the covering letter. (Format attached) Original Personal Bank Statement showing transaction for minimum of last six months. Income tax returns of the last three years or FORM 16 in case of an employee. Salary slips for last 3 months in case of employees. NOC from employer. In case of dealers or self employed, please provide following documentation: Company registration, partnership deed, tax registration and certificates. Company original bank statement for the last 6 month. Company last 3 year ITR. Any passport having applied for / refusal stamp from other consulates need to provide the letter/document issued by the respective consulates in this regard. Students / Children to provide all details of their present School / Universities/Institutes like I-card, school /college certificate, along with the NOC.

Photo specification General: The photo must be a full face view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly and the face should cover about 50 percent of the photo area. The photo must have been taken within the last three months. The photo should be in color, studio print and must have only white background. Photo Size: The photo of each visa applicant must measure: 02 by 02 inches (roughly 50 mm square) with the head centered in the frame The head (measured from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin) should measure between 1 inch to 1 3/8 inches (25 mm to 35 mm) with the eye level between 1 1/8 inch to 1 3/8 inches (28 mm and 35 mm) from the bottom of the photo

Visa Information Visa form and requirements will be send by TUI to ICAI to be send to all the delegates. All the delegates are requested to send Passport copies, duly filled visa form (first two and last two) to us to initiate the visa process. TUI to Proceed as below : TUI deposits visa fees with HDFC Bank and secures bar code. TUI receives visa form, passport copies from ICAI delegates Bar code activation happens. (It takes a minimum of 48 hours). Meanwhile, TUI Team checks the visa forms thoroughly. In case of incomplete details / information we contact the delegates and also check the preferred language for the interview for participants. Immediately on the activation of bar code, we seek an appointment* for personal appearance of the achievers in their respective cities as per the dates available ( appointment is purely based on availability, it could take a week to fortnight to secure an appointment). On the receipt of interview date, we upload visa form information.

TUI completes online application formalities & send the achievers the following : Copy of online visa form – 156 & 157. Interview letter. Original bar code slip. Covering letter from our side mentioning the details. TUI keeps following up till the time all achievers receive it and have understood it completely. Prior to the date of interview, we call each and every participant to recap the documents, venue, timings etc.. Each visa section has a jurisdiction as follows regards to Interview: New Delhi: States of Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Bhutan. Chennai: States of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and the Union Territories of Lakshadweep islands and Pondicherry. Mumbai: States of Maharashtra, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Union Territories of Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Kolkata: States of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya, Orissa, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam and the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Hyderabad: State of Andhra Pradesh

As per the procedure defined by US Embassy – Western Region, applicant has to submit the photocopy of all the relevant documents at the respective nearest VFS centre 05 days prior to the scheduled interview date as follows, and carry originals at the time of interview at the Mumbai Consulate ONLY, this means for interview every participant has to reach Mumbai US Embassy. WESTERN INDIA - VFS Centres On the date of scheduled interview, participant must reach embassy 15 mins prior to the scheduled time with the visa form, passport, visa documents and bar code slip. (TUI to Assist on spot ) Participant come to know of the outcome there and then, TUI updates the records after checking with all the participant on the same day. Post interview TUI Delhi Office receives courier from US embassy with passports and TUI subsequently send it to respective NOKIA offices. Please Note: Our role is to only assist customer for visa facilitation, however it is totally up to the embassy to grant or reject the visas, considering the documents provided and interview.
