EMPLOYER- SUPPORTED Savings + Investments = Asset Building Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council (HCEOC)  LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance) Program : (Partnership with HELCO) low income individuals and families receive energy credits to defray costs on electricity bill  Photovoltaic Installation by Greenpower Solutions (employer): conversion to solar for low-income families. (Employer utilizes trainees to do installations)  Employer Customized Training  Via Hawaii Community College: Numerous employers have designed customized training for its employees  Various software computer programs  Management and supervisory training  Various “green” training  Hawaii First Federal Credit Union (Resource Centers)  Offers Individual Development Accounts (4 to 1 financial match) for eligible participants  Entrepreneurs Expos  Financial institutions, employers, Small Business Development Center support current employees and unemployed job seekers with self- employment options to enhance asset- building

 Earn it:  Gain skills, knowledge and references  Secure EMPLOYMENT!  Keep it:  Continually enhance skills  Remain competitive and acquire transferable skills  RETAIN EMPLOYMENT!  Grow it:  Establish savings; invest wisely  Continually cut costs (energy, tax credits, support farmers markets, etc.)  Continually build job skills  Position self for job mobility, promotion  And Share it:  Teach what you’ve learned  Support your Ohana; give back to your community  LIVE ALOHA!
