SAT Subject Tests: Some schools require them for admissions or use as placement tests. You can not take a Subject test the same day you take the Reasoning test. You can take up to 3 subject tests at a time. AP Exams: Take them in the Spring. You may earn college credit or exempt entry level courses. Each college has its own policy.

NO…..it is important that you take an active role in making this IMPORTANT decision. Penn State is a great university, however, there are many wonderful universities that just might be a better fit for you. “But my parent works there and I get the discount.” Did you know that you can attend one of the 14 State Universities for the same cost as you would pay at PSU with the discount? Check them out!

Sticker shock can discourage some students from applying to a certain college. Many small private schools provide substantial merit student aid. Look into the school’s financial aid before you drop your dream school.

What are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? What is important to you? What type of lifestyle do you want? Have you looked at job titles, taken an interest inventory or looked at the majors that colleges offer? Many colleges allow you to enter undecided.
