Overall the Ontario Region has very moderate temperature conditions The summers are hot and humid while the winters are cold On the average precipitation is moderate throughout all of the seasons The southern part of Ontario is warm enough to grow vineyards in the summer similar to the south of France Usually winters in Northern Ontario receive enough snow for winter recreational activities In general Ontario has variations of temperatures with the more extreme temperatures to the north and the moderate to the south
