Remediation of soils contaminated with oil (petroleum or fuel oil) N ° 6 Romina Gónzalez Q., Eva Soto A. Environmental Civil Engineer, Playa Ancha University. Chile General Objective Evaluate the technical feasibility, economic and environmental remediation of a soil contaminated with oil, by developing a methodology, so as to reduce the HTP (total petroleum hydrocarbons). Specific objectives Determine the magnitude and distribution of the oil spill No. 6 Identify and assess the presence of THP (total petroleum hydrocarbons) from contaminated soil. Select a technology for remediation of soils contaminated with oil. Designing a methodology for implementing the selected technology for remediation of soil contaminated with No. 6 oil. Implement the selected technology, a pilot scale, for soils contaminated with No. 6 oil. Power & Energy Workshop, The Science Behind Energy Assurance SEPARI, ONRG, ITC Valparaiso, 2009

Methodology Power & Energy Workshop, The Science Behind Energy Assurance SEPARI, ONRG, ITC Valparaiso, 2009

Results & Indicators The performance of proposed remediation of soils contaminated with No. 6 oil, will provide a proposal to provide a solution and regularization of areas contaminated with No. 6 oil, implemented remediation techniques, and thereby reduce or eliminate, where possible, impacts causing environmental areas affected by oil spills.. Provide information that will help and encourage the development of policies and procedures for managing contaminated sites or related subject. Power & Energy Workshop, The Science Behind Energy Assurance SEPARI, ONRG, ITC Valparaiso, 2009
