A NEW INTERNATIONAL APPROACH TO WATER ISSUES CREATED IN 2012 BY LA FUNDACIÓ CTM CENTRE TECNOLÒGIC IN CONSULTATION WITH THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, NETWERC H2O IS A EUROPEAN ORGANISATION WITH GLOBAL PARTNERS WHICH PROMOTES, SUPPORTS AND IMPROVES THE APPLICATION OF SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES IN THE USE OF WATER AT REGIONAL AND MUNICIPAL LEVEL, BECOMING AN EFFICIENT CHANNEL OF COMMUNICATION AND EXCHANGE OF THE LATEST SMART TECHNOLOGY FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES BE THEY CAPITAL CITIES OR THE SMALLEST OF VILLAGES.

NETWERC H 2 O IS AN ASSOCIATION, IN WHICH NO MEMBER IS UNDER ANY OBLIGATION TO FOLLOW A SPECIFIC POLITICAL POLICY. NETWERC H 2 O IS OPEN TO ALL THOSE REGIONAL AND MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENTS IN EUROPE AND BEYOND WHO ARE CONCERNED WITH THE WAY WE MANAGE OUR MOST VITAL OF ALL NATURAL RESOURCES. NETWERC H 2 O IS A FORUM, BOTH REAL AND VIRTUAL WHERE BOTH DECISION MAKERS AND TECHNICIANS ARE ABLE TO DISSEMINATE AND EXCHANGE EXPERIENCES WHILST BEING IN PERMANENT CONTACT WITH EXPERTS FROM ASSOCIATE MEMBERS SUCH AS UNIVERSITIES, RESEARCH CENTRES AND NUMEROUS OTHER ENTITIES OF INTERNATIONAL PRESTIGE WHO ARE PREPARED TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS EXPERIENCE ADVANCING THE ISSUE OF WATER IN EUROPE AND THE REST OF THE WORLD.

NETWERC H 2 0 ASSISTS IN THE CROSS-SECTOR AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION, TRANSFER AND EXCHANGE OF BENEFICIAL WATER MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES AND KNOWLEDGE NETWERC H 2 O AIMS TO DEFINE COMMON OBJECTIVES AMONG BOTH ITS MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS AND PROMOTES THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECTS NETWERC H 2 O LOOKS TO SUPPORT AND AID THOSE MEMBERS IN SEARCH OF PROJECT PARTNERS AND BOTH INFORMS AND PUBLICISES ACTIVE PROJECTS OF COLLABORATION

NETWERC H 2 O PROVIDES A VOICE FOR ITS MEMBERS AND ENABLES THEM TO INTERACT WITH ALL THE PRINCIPAL ACTORS CONCERNED WITH EUROPEAN WATER ISSUES, THUS FORMING A FOCUS OF DEBATE AND DEVELOPMENT. NETWERC H 2 O CREATES PROJECT GROUPS, ORGANISES CONFERENCES, DEVELOPS BOTH REAL AND VIRTUAL STUDY TOURS, PROMOTES LOCAL EVENTS AND THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF A NEW, REVOLUTIONARY TECHNIQUE IS THE FIRST NON-PAPER ORGANISATION OF ITS TYPE WITH THE PRINCIPAL OBJECT OF MAKING WATER A PRIORITY ISSUE AT ALL LEVELS. ALL FULL MEMBERS ARE ELECTED REGIONAL OR LOCAL AUTHORITIES, WHO AFTER APPROVING THEIR MEMBERSHIP IN PLENARY SESSION PAY 100 EUROS PER ANNUM. ASSOCIATE MEMBERS ARE THOSE ENTITIES WHO ARE INVITED TO BECOME INVOLVED IN THE ACTIVITIES OF NETWERC H 2 0 WHO, DUE TO THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE, ARE ABLE TO ENHANCE THE CAPABILITY OF NETWERC H 2 O AND WHO CAN OFFER CLEAR ASSISTANCE TO THE AIMS OF THE ASSOCIATION. ALL FULL MEMBERS ARE ENTITLED TO BE ELECTED TO THE NETWERC H 2 0 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
