What is a smartboard? An interactive whiteboard that when hooked up to a computer is a wonderful teaching tool for teachers to use in the classroom. It is a good hands on and interactive learning tool. Fun fact: purchased 3 times more often than any other interactive white board brand. JZ

History Smartboards are made by SMART technologies. In 1991 it was the world’s first interactive whiteboard. It was the first to provide touch control of computers applications, including microsoft windows applications. SR

What does a smartboard do? You can control computer applications directly from the display write notes in digital ink save work for later use Has a pen tray that holds four plastic pens and an eraser The pen components do not have ink nor electronic components JZ

How much does it cost? The smartboard itslef: $10,699 AirLiner wireless slate that is offered combined with the smartboard for $2,099.
