4 Tips to a successful 2 nd Semester Students sometimes feel like they’ve run a marathon when the first semester of school ends. Depending on individual circumstances, students may truly have put in more effort than usual this semester. 1. Write Long and Short – Term Goals: One of the best ways to improve performance is to create academic goals and write them down. 2. End the First Semester Positively: Remember all your success and goals from 1 st semester and work to do even better 2 nd semester. 3. Re-organize School Supplies: Treat the start of the second semester like the start of a new school year. Clean up your backpack, organized your pencils and revamp anything that is old and worn out [folders, binders, etc]. 4. Organize Your Calendar. One of the best ways to manage your time is to keep a detailed calendar of your assignment deadlines. Start early with 2 nd semester.
What is the FASFA? The FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This form is used to determine the amount of money a family is expected to contribute to the price of attending a postsecondary institution. The results of the FAFSA are used in determining student grants, work study, and loan amounts. The FAFSA application is CRITICAL because it is used for Federal Pell Grants as well as California State Grants and other financial aid offered by colleges and universities. You must apply separately for many scholarships.Federal Pell GrantsCalifornia State Grants LOOK!!! All 12 th graders
