What’s so special…....about this?

You decide the questions! We will watch a video about Michaelangelo’s David. You should write down questions that you could ask someone who is watching the same video. Try to get a good balance of questions – some factual, some about the life of the Artist, and some that will help you understand why David is a masterpiece!

Questions? Why didn’t Michelangelo’s family want him to be an artist? How much did it cost to make the statue? What was special about the material that he used? How much was Michelangelo paid? (what is this in today’s money?) Why did production of such large sculptures stop between the roman empire and the renaissance? Why is David naked? Whats he holding in his hand? Why did he build it? Why was he so dedicated to detail?
