Poland, Spring 2012 A visit with Dr. David Pichaske, Lodz, Poland

Keeping it rural, in the garden of the Salski’s, in Rzgow, near Lodz.

Dr. Pichaske, with a statue of the local duke who erected a Romanesque church in Inowledz back in 1086.

The old church at Tum, built in 1165, where the local nobility gathered annually in the old days. Now it sits in the middle of a field.

The remains of an old factory complex here in Lodz (cathedral tower in the background)--something this city is full of because it was a huge textile center up to World War I and intermittently thereafter.
