JI(Jemaah Islamiya)  In December 2001, Singapore authorities uncovered a JI plot to attack the US and Israeli Embassies and British and Australian diplomatic buildings in Singapore.  A December 2000 wave of church bombings in Indonesia that killed 18.  Asian and U.S. officials say Hambali had a hand in these attacks, and Indonesian officials arrested JI leader Bashir for questioning. Recent investigations linked the JI to December 2000 bombings where dozens of bombs were detonated in Indonesia and the Philippines.  Jemaah Islamiyah has also been linked to aborted plans to attack US, British, and Australian embassies in Singapore.

JI(Jemaah Islamiya)  Six of the 13 JImembers being held in Singapore had links with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front  While the two who were arrested and then released had visited Moro Islamic Liberation Front camps in the past.

Tamil Tigers  The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, commonly known as the LTTE or the Tamil Tigers, was a separatist organization formerly based in northern Sri Lanka.  Founded in May 1976,  Waged a violent secessionist campaign that sought to create an independent Tamil State in the north and east of Sri Lanka.  This campaign evolved into the Sri Lankan Civil War, which was one of the longest running armed conflicts in Asia until the LTTE was defeated by the Sri Lankan Military in May 2009.

Tamil Tigers  LTTE rebels were widely known to have trained members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Southern Lebanon, where concepts of suicide bombings, taxation, and war memorials were imparted to PFLP fighters.
