T EMPERATURE What comes in your mind???

Temperature is measured using a thermometer. In Britain, we usually measure temperature in degrees centigrade or Celsius ˚C. The unit used in some countries, such as the USA, is degrees Fahrenheit ˚ F 0 ˚C 100 ˚C

There are different types of thermometers used for different purposes. To measure somebody’s body temperature – medical or clinical thermometer would be used Thermometers may be digital or have a scale

Different types of thermometers used for different purposes To take the indoor temperature of a room - A room thermometer would be used

A gardener might use a Different types of thermometers used for different purposes weather thermometer to give the outdoor temperature

A cooking thermometer is sometimes used when cooking meat to ensure the temperature inside the food is safe Different types of thermometers used for different purposes

 Safe temperatures for fridge foods  Safe temperatures for frozen foods  Storing chemicals at the right temperature  Oven temperatures in different recipes  Use TV, a newspaper or a website to find and compare temperatures in different cities around the world Some other use of temperatures in some aspects of life and work BBC/Skillwise & Move-on.org.uk
