Singing to God Declaring truths about God –Love, compassion, strength, justice, mercy, salvation, knowledge, etc. Expressing the feelings of man –Psalms address the mind through the heart.

Declare to the Nations Who are the nations? –Not political spheres of influence. –People groups identified by their ethno- linguistic differences. Don’t think “India”, think ~2,500 different people groups and 450+ languages.

Declare to the Nations Why should we sing with them? –“He is great to be praised” All things come from Him! Life flows from Him. –“All other gods are worthless idols” “…the Truth the Life and the Way” –Creation was meant to worship Him Sea, animals, forests all sing to Him Majesty, strength, and beauty praise Him.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him” - John 3:16-17

Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God's truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name.” And again it is said, “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.” And again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples extol him. - Romans 15:8-11

“And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth” - Revelations 5:9-10
