Marking Guides in Moodle Used in Assignments -For each marking criterion, a comment explains what is being sought, and provides a maximum mark that can be awarded. -You can allow students to view the marking guide before they submit, so that they know what their learning priorities are in relation to this assignment. -You need to set the passing mark.
Rubrics in Moodle -Rubric has preset levels for each criterion that the teacher can select from when marking that criterion. -Marking guide lets you enter a number as the grade for a criterion – -Marking guide also lets you build a set of frequently used comments to use when marking.

Quizzes in Moodle Quiz allows the teacher to design and build quizzes consisting of a large variety of Question types, including multiple choice, true-false, and short answer questions. These questions are kept in Question bank categories and can be re-used in different quizzes in other Wodonga TAFE Moodle shells or given as a sub set to students randomly
Tend to be knowledge retrieval Align to required knowledge in work context Put comprehension questions in context Make a sub set of questions reflecting workplace process Mix up types (MC, T or F, Matching, Short answer, cloze) Ask less questions & focus on good distracters Attempts, Feedback and randomisation Writing Quizzes

Set up 3 question banks with 4 questions each Set up a Quiz Add to the Quiz 2 questions from each bank to be drawn randomly Test Activity – Quizzes
Lesson in Moodle The lesson module presents a series of HTML pages to the student who is usually asked to make some sort of choice underneath the content area. The choice will send them to a specific page in the Lesson. Teachers can break linear content by adding decision points or quizzes along the lesson path.
