What is Link Governor?  An On-Line secure web service which: allows training organisations (eg LEAs, Dioceses) to readily place and manage their school governor training events on the internet at any time, day or night enables schools and link governors to conveniently manage their governor training, book or cancel a place at an event, view attendance, and book an event for those governors who do not have access to the internet gives school governors, clerks, and staff immediate web access to their schools’ authorised training provider’s training events with the opportunity to book and manage those events on-line

How does it work?  Training Organisations are allocated a user name and password and then enter their events, venues, trainers online through simple on-line forms.  Training Organisations also enter their participating schools online through a simple form and the system notifies the school and allocates them a user name and password  Schools (or link governors) maintain their details and governor list and the system then allocates each named governor a user name and password  Each governor (or school/link governor on behalf of those not connected to the interent) is then able to maintain his or her details and to book and cancel their events on-line  Relevant reporting information is immediately available to the training organisation, school/link governor, and governor – both historic and future data
