 Born in Ontario, Canada, the youngest of three girls from German parents  Moved to Ontario, California at age 1  Started piano lessons at age 5  Worked in the family dry cleaning business  Moved to San Diego to attend UCSD  Studied a year abroad in Vienna, Austria  Earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music  Received California Clear Teaching Credential  Married since July 1993  Lazlo, 12 ½

 Piano Teacher since 1987 in Encinitas and surrounding areas  Established The Linda Rohmund Piano Studio in 1993  Music Educator, K-6, La Costa Heights Elementary School since November 2008  Celebrated 25 years in June 2012

 Individual lessons and computer enrichment that accommodate the developing musician  45-minutes (30 private + 15 enrichment)  1 hour  1 hour 15 minutes

 Lessons are once a week at a set time from September through May  Nine lessons (out of 13 weeks) required for June through August with flexible times

 Students usually write their own pieces  Pieces are notated using software  Students do most of the work on this project while at the studio.  Pieces are performed at the recital from memory.

 Students have the opportunity to play one of the pieces at the annual state convention if they score well in all aspects.  Students also receive Branch Honors if they score well, Levels Four through Ten.  Daniel Spiegel received the Senior Medallion for doing this exam throughout high school.

 Students can submit original works for evaluation. Those who score well can play their piece at the annual state convention.  Teachers can also submit pieces for evaluation in the teaching or performance categories.  Daniel Spiegel, Young Composers Guild member, 2012 – 2017  Daniel received a composer award this year  Daniel received a senior medallion for his work
