What Factors were essential for this decision? Develop a clear vision and mission statement for VA Pharmacy Market VA Pharmacy Services to the veteran community Develop standardized staffing levels and services which support better patient care Develop a patient-centric, system wide computer system with greater standardization

Mission Statement To provide the highest quality care to veterans by ensuring safe, effective, and medically necessary use of medications. Vision Statement VA Pharmacy will provide highest quality, value added pharmaceutical care services to veterans. CORE VALUES We will be an essential component of the patient focused Health Care Team. We will create a practice environment that fosters education, research and professional development. We will advance the use of innovative technologies to ensure consistent, accurate and reliable medication distribution, education and information systems. We will provide pharmaceutical services during national emergencies, disasters and other events that adversely affect our veterans. We will be an employer of choice for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and supportive staff by providing a compassionate, progressive work environment.

Our Expectations? VHA to develop and disseminate our vision and mission statement – DONE VISN adopt the vision and mission statement – Flyers and Posters Locally implement the vision and mission statement
