Should healthcare be provided to all American citizens? Regine Norris

Research Health care is taking preventative or necessary medical procedures to improve a person's well- being. Helps people get medical care they need and live a healthier life. There are many programs that help others with their health care bills such as Medicare and Medicaid

Research Medicaid People and families with low incomes Poverty alone does not necessarily qualify someone for Medicaid. Largest source of funding for medical and health- related services for people with low income in the US Medicare Americans ages 65-and older and disabled people Has four parts: Part A Part B Part C Part D

Research Health care has become increasingly unaffordable for businesses and individuals. In 2007, 62.1% of all U.S. bankruptcies were related to people with costly medical insurance. Some countries have universal health care Statistics show people who have free health care have a longer life expectancy. Canada, England, Germany are countries with free health care. U.S. is the only nation without out free care.

Because I researched healthcare, I decided to volunteer at CVS Pharmacy for my product.

Product For my Product I had to find a place to volunteer Find a Mentor Discuss with the Pharmacist on what I would be doing

Product Meet up with my mentor Start Volunteering Rotate around the Pharmacy Learn different tasks

Product Work with the associates Spent some days answering phones Working in the drive-thru Putting up prescriptions

Mentor My Mentor was Jennifer She is a pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy She helped me gain knowledge in the work of pharmacy

Challenges and Successes If there is anything I would do differently about my project is to have not procrastinated. Challenges: Procrastination Finding a mentor Finding a location to volunteer My work schedule Successes: Completing my hours Being offered a job Finishing my project Having fun

What I Learned I learned how to create a website I learned to be more organized Time management How to put prescriptions into the computer

Thank you for your time. Do you have any questions?
