Michael When you start reading this book you’ll find the main character named Michael, he was 12 and was born in South Hampton, England.His hobbies were playing English Football with his friends, But Michael’s greatest friend was named Eddie. Until he left South Hampton and now lives in Brazil. The most important thing that Michael has is his hard working parents, both his parents both had jobs that involved water.

Stella Artois Stella Artois is a friendly sheep dog who is loved by the whole family. When ever they go to the reservoir to go sailing they take her along. She barks at every other boat as if they have no right to be there. On the night they fell into the ocean, Stella Artois sensed that something was amiss and that was the reason she was standing on the bow of the Peggy Sue. She is very sturborn at times specially when she is around Kensuke. She was like a companion to Michael and Kensuke.

Kensuke Kensuke is such a powerful man, Michael is so lucky to meet a person like him. I love that he’s so friendly to animals, without him on the island all the animals in the forest would be dead on the floor with no proper burial. He’s 75 and still has the strength to stay alive, he has lived on the island for about 40 years, it all happened because of world war 2. But the most important thing about Kensuke is that he’s a hero, He saved Michael and the Oranghutans. If Kensuke was not in this book there wouldn’t be an end to this story.

The whole story starts at England where Michael grew up, he also brings along his dog named Stella Artois. Michael had lived with kensuke on the island for about a year, but lessons were taught. With orangutans everywhere for enjoyment, a pure beautiful island that was well kept by Kensuke.
