 Google has been sued for copyright infringement by Agence France Presse and Belgian news publishers. They claimed Google used their stories, pictures, and news headlines on Google News without their permission. They ended up signing an agreement.  Google said the news sources did not follow the opt out procedure.  To opt out a website needs to fill out a simple form. They will be removed within a couple of days, the content that was already there will take 30 days to leave database.  A website can also block all or certain content from appearing on Google News by creating a robot.txt file or using a META tag.

 January 2006 Google.cn is set up in China, censored search results  After saying it was considering withdrawing from China, due to a cyber attack, Google finally announces it will redirect users from China to their Hong Kong site.  This violates Google and China censorship agreement
