◦ Plants use the energy from ATP and NADPH to build high energy SUGARS (GLUCOSE) that can store energy for longer than a few minutes.
The carbon and oxygen needed to build the sugars come from CO 2 in the atmosphere.
The Calvin cycle uses CO 2, ATP and NADPH and creates Sugar, ADP and NADP+
