Electrical/Computer Design PS2 Mouse Cable –Data, Clock –Power, Ground PS2 Protocol: “Remote Mode” –Mouse uses on-board counters to store encoder ticks until read by host Poll multiple mice, store data Average data between three mice, and average data over time

Mechanical Design Interior pieces of mouse could block hamster ball movement Experimented with three mice to ensure no plastic blocked hamster ball Replicated design in Solid Works

Improvements –Orange ribs intended to hold hamster ball are too large – will be shrinking. 3D Printed Friction –Mouse balls encounter too much friction with the mount – need to file away plastic. –Frank has trouble moving the ball.
