What action was considered Property  Energy audits were undertaken and the results considered.  Presence detectors were fitted within toilets and other rooms.  Energy saving fittings installed within toilets to save water and electrical fittings upgraded as and when they required replacement  Secondary glazing was fitted at GRH  All new or refurbishment work now includes energy saving measures in the design.

What action was considered Transport We reviewed staff and visitors travel to our buildings as well as the provision of our daily van service, as a result we considered,  more search room spaces at GRH which is easily reached by public transport  Bike bins at GRH so that staff and visitors could lock their bicycles away safely  Although no action has been taken at this time with respect of our van. When the van is changed we are considering replacing it with which will run on LPG fuel.  When hire cars are required alternative fuels such as diesel and lowering the cc rating is considered

What action was considered Waste disposal and recycling  We reviewed our contracts with regard to Re-cycling and put contracts in place to cope with disposal and recycling as much waste as possible such as toner cartridges, paper etc.  Maintenance contractors were charged with a similar obligations for safe disposal and recycling
