THE REPUBLIC OF ESTONIA Estonia is a democratic parliamentarian republic and is situated in the Northern Europe, its capital is Tallinn - The surface area is m2 - The population is 1,31 million - The official language – Estonian - 15 counties and each county is divided into municipalities ha of agricultural land, on 51,1% of the area of cultivation grains are grown - 2,2 million ha of woodland, so 51,8% of Estonian surface rea, of which 93,7 % is covered with woods -4 seasons, the average air temperature is +5°C. The average air temperature in winter months is -5°C, from June to September °C. The duration of the longest summer day is about 19 hours and the shortest winter day is 6 hours. White nights last from the beginning of May until the end of July. On average the earth is covered with snow from days a year. -The unspoilt nature of Estonia, beautiful secluded beaches, luxurious manor houses, the affection of the Estonian people for folklore, ice roads to our islands in winter, delicious local cuisine, and what a delight it is to jump into a cooling lake from a hot sauna - all this must be seen with one’s own eyes and is worth trying.

The Non-profit Association Partners was founded on 4 May The main goal of the activity group is to develop the local life on the territory of the six municipalities who formed a unified activity area in co-operation with three different sectors: - local municipalities, - companies/self-employed persons, - non-profit associations/foundations.

AREA OF ACTIVITY Kunda Town, Viru-Nigula Municipality, Sõmeru Municipality, Vinni Municipality, Rakvere Municipality and Haljala Municipality belong to the area of activity of the NPA Partners, with the total area of 1209,71 km² The population of the area is people.

MEMBERS Today there are 59 members of the NP Partners: 6 local municipalities 35 non-profit associations 18 entrepreneurs

BOARD The operation is led by a Board of 12 members, each sector is represented by four members and two members from every local municipality’s territory.

PROJECTS SUBMITTED AND APPROVED In the years from 2009 to 2013 altogether 369 project requests were submitted, from which 287 were approved by the Board of Partners. Estonian Agricultural Registers and Information Board (ARIB) has funded 265 project in the total amount of EUR.
