ASCEND Helping parents to see the world through their child’s eyes Chris Williams Feb 2013

What is ASCEND? 11 week course for parents 2 hour sessions at lunch time To help parents see the world through their child’s eyes To use this to help with their own child To help parents understand why their children behave as they do

What are the sessions like? Mixture of teaching, discussions, activities Parents learn about the theories of autism in an easy way Very relaxed

If your child has a diagnosis of autism or Asperger syndrome and you would like to attend ASCEND, talk to your GP, Paediatrician, Specialist Autism teachers or CAMHS worker.

‘It was excellent in explaining ASD and informative in getting understanding of other parents difficulties with their children and very supportive’.
