YEAR 4 : CWM PENNANT HOSTEL 2-4 July 2014

There are all the facilities we need to make our stay safe and comfortable. No TV!! bedrooms lounge

DAY 1 Arrive at school for 7.45am Set off 8.15am Arrive Cwm Pennant 11.30am Shuttle to the hostel ( 5mins) Eat packed lunch (taken by the children) at the hostel Afternoon activities 1.Archery 2.Orienteering 3.Team building challenges Evening meal – 6.30pm Evening activity – off to the beach (weather permitting) BED

At the Beach...

DAY 2: Breakfast – 7.45am Morning activities (Llyn Gwynant): climbing, survival skills (bush craft) and canoeing (all away from the hostel). The 3 groups will swap over activities – 2hrs per activity LUNCH - provided by the hostel Evening meal at the hostel Evening activities BED

DAY 3: Breakfast Pack and prepare for walk to meet the coach. Leave Cwm Pennant at 2 to 2.30pm Arrive safe and sound 4.30pm (traffic permitting) All yours for the weekend!

EQUIPMENT LIST Small rucksack or bag for the coach; A large bag to go under the coach; ( three days of clothing) Food/drink for dinner time on the first day; Waterproof clothing; Walking boots / trainers; Towel, toothpaste, soap etc; Plastic bag to put wet/dirty clothes in; Wallet/purse to keep money safe; (money will be the child’s responsibility at all times. In the past children have taken anything up to £10.) Change of footwear for the house;

Sunglasses, hat, sun cream? Medicines in a separate box; Water bottle; (hopefully not the sort to keep you warm at night but the one to drink from. Water bottles can be refilled from the tap!) Pencils/pens etc; Games, toy, reading materials; Camera NO MOBILE PHONES please.

FOOD at the Hostel: BREAKFAST: Cooked or continental style LUNCH: Packed lunch Sandwich, drink, crisps, chocolate bar, fruit EVENING MEAL: Fruit juice Slice of melon Carrot and coriander soup Pork and leek sausages served with mashed potato, vegetables and onion gravy Oven roasted vegetables in a tomato and basil sauce with penne pasta Jacket potato with cheese and salad Jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise and salad Apple crumble and custard Yogurt Fresh fruit salad The children will be encouraged to set the tables and tidy away after each meal.
