LISD Learning Leaders April 2013

Campus/Department Design Teams O Please read the 2-page handout on Campus/Department Design Teams – either using the paper version or the version I ed you this morning. O Note the most important points for your consideration moving forward…

Design Teams O Using the chart paper on your table to record your thinking, compare/contrast Design Teams with other committees. O How would the existence of an active Design Team assist your campus/department in achieving the LISD Strategic Design?

Design Team Composition O As a table group, develop a list of characteristics/attributes we should be looking for in Design Team members. O What would these members be doing? What would their Design Team work look like?

Design Teams and Strategic Design O Campus and Department Design Teams play an important role in determining the “path” or journey for that organization. This includes some elements of the LISD Strategic Design implementation. O Each table has a set of cards. Sort these Strategic Design objectives into 2 categories: District-Initiated & Campus- Initiated.

Design Teams and Strategic Design O What trends do you see? O Each individual needs 2 dots. Use these dots to select the TWO Strategic Design objectives that you believe need the greatest district emphasis/push NEXT.

Exit Ticket O Please take an index card and record the following: O Campus/Department name O What 2 or 3 Strategic Design goals do you need support with next? O Be sure to drop off before you leave the room today…
