Resource Utilisation Technology for Success

The programmes Leadership for Success “Developing leadership skills in implementing technology” A 2 day work shop for senior and middle leaders from across the further education and skills sector E-learning: maximising impact ‘Planning, constructing and maximising the impact of a strategic organisation approach to using technology’ Leading Change for a Digital Dividend Build a business case to achieve measurable and/or clearly identifiable benefits from using technology

Leadership in Technology (LIT) grant based intervention A £6,000 grant for providers will be available for those that identify a particular improvement that can be tackled through the innovative use of technology. Identify a particular area for improvement that can be tackled through the effective deployment of technology. Identify the change management that needs to take place to embed effective practice and show how this will be part of the organisational improvement strategy. Identify a mentor from another organisation to support the projects.

Survey of 820 practitioners in 15 providers of further education in England Research instrument developed from original work at Thanet College asking about attitudes to technology-in-action Using Survey Monkey, the structure of the instrument was changed to incorporate free text responses to provide opportunities for respondents to expand on their responses Individual and provider profiles generated by the survey along with practitioner narratives Research - current projects Practitioner Attitudes to Technology
