What is it used for? Sending web content that changes regularly People stay informed by receiving the latest content from sites they’re interested in

Who Uses it, and how is it accessed? Some people create feeds, others subscribe to them Weblogs, news-related sites, and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS feed to anyone who wants it

History Invented by Netscape Wanted to use XML format to distribute stories, news, and information Refined the version of RSS but dropped it Userland Software took over and developed it, releasing a newer version
